POSITION SUMMARY (include other positions that report to this position) This position is responsible for coordinating the total nursing care of assigned patients. This position has exposure to body fluids, radiation and communicable disease. The RN is responsible for supervising the job classes of: student nurse, LPN, and CNA. The RN assists in the orientation of new staff. The majority of work time is spent standing and/or walking of short distances ( up to 60% of work time), with frequent pushing, pulling, and lifting of up to 100 lbs. (up to 20 % o work time), and with frequent carrying of up to 50 lbs (up to 20% of work time). A variety of populations is served: LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED Arkansas RN license, CPR DESCRIBE THE SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL AND SKILL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION A good working knowledge of nursing care practices as usually demonstrated by the completion of an accredited nursing program. |
