POSTION SUMMARY-

The Clinical Educator is responsible orientation of new staff to the CCU unit. They will develop, teach and evaluate education for the department staff. The educator will assist the director in establishing and maintaining unit-specific procedures. In addition, the clinical educator performs direct patient care to CCU patients. This position has exposure to body fluids, radiation and communicable disease. The majority of work time is spent sitting/standing, and/or walking of short distances, with frequent pushing, pulling, and lifting of up to 100 lbs., and carrying of up to 25 lbs. The variety of patients served in CCU unit includes infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, with the majority being adult and geriatric patients.

Arkansas RN License, CPR, ACLS

This position requires a good working knowledge of clinical care practices as usually demonstrated by a minimum of three (3) years of clinical registered nursing experience. The ability to develop, deliver and evaluate training and educational information is required. A bachelors degree in nursing or education is strongly preferred.
