POSITION SUMMARY-

This position is responsible for coordinating the total nursing care of assigned patients including assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation.  The RN is responsible for delegating to and supervising the job classes of: student nurse tech, LPN, Monitor Tech, and nursing assistant and unit secretary.  The RN assists in the orientation of new staff and clinical supervision of nursing students.  This position has exposure to body fluids, radiation and communicable disease.  The majority of work time is spent standing and/or walking of short distances, with frequent pushing, pulling, and lifting of up to 100 lbs., as well as occasional carrying of up to 25 lbs.  A variety of populations is served including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics, with the majority being adults and geriatrics.

SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS-

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Arkansas RN license, CPR, ACLS, PALS

Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and licensed to work in the state of Arkansas.  This position also requires the completion of basic dysrhythmia and critical care courses as well as certification in CPR, ACLS, and PALS

 Additional Information

Weekend and/or Holiday Rotation may be required.
