POSITION SUMMARY- This position, under close supervision, is responsible for assisting the nursing staff in caring for surgical patients. This position has exposure to body fluids, radiation and communicable disease. Majority of time is spent standing and/or walking of short distances (up to 60% of work time), with frequent lifting, carrying and pushing/pulling of up to 100 lb. (up to 40% of work time). LICENSE/SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED- Highschool diploma/GED, CPR certifaction required. Effective communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions, as usually demonstrated by successful completion of high school studies, are required. |
