POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for coordinating the scheduling of Outpatient lab and radiology procedures. Works with minimal supervision. This position has no exposure to body fluids and communicable disease. Majority of time is spent sitting (up to 80% of work time.) Performs heavy amount of repetitive motions utilizing computer keyboard. Variety of populations served: infants, adolescents (up to 10% of work time), Adults (50%) and geriatrics (40%). LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED AR. L.P.N. License
DESCRIBE THE SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL AND SKILL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION Current LPN license. A good working knowledge of hospital scheduling procedures as demonstrated by a minimum of at lease one year of clinical nursing experience. Experience with ICD-9 and CPT codes and medical necessity are helpful. Excellent communications skills and attention to detail is a must.
