The speech therapist is responsible for the identification, diagnosis, and treatment of problems of speech and language which present interference with normal communication and swallowing. They are also responsible for completing related paperwork and performing other duties as assigned. This position has exposure to communicable disease and body fluids. This position spends the majority of time standing and walking short distances (up to 50% of work time) with frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying of up to 50 lbs (up to 30% of work time), and occasional sitting (up to 20% of work time). This position serves a variety of age groups; pediatrics (5%), adolescents (10%), adults (35%) and geriatrics (50%). Local travel is required. Required: CCC-SLP licensure in Arkansas, Valid Drivers License, Proof of Automobile Liability Insurance Requires graduation from an accredited master’s program, licensure to practice as a speech therapist in the State of Arkansas, certification of clinical competency from ASHA and reliable transportation. |
